Renovating kitchen cabinets

Tired of looking at those dreary old cupboards? Are they falling apart and in need of some serious repair? You could (bank balance permitting) rip them down, throw them in the nearest skip and head off down to the nearest hardware store clutching your good old credit card; alternatively you could try giving them a new lease of life and renovate them. This could be particularly pertinent if they were state-of-the-art ten years ago and you really don't want to have to replace them. If you think you can handle the job yourself then sure, open your toolbox and start hammering. If however you're one of the millions out there who doesn't know the difference between sandpaper and wallpaper, then it's time to call in the professionals.

It's no wonder that they are an item of furniture that needs replacing before your leather three-piece-suite and that expensive four-poster bed. There are companies out there that can completely overhaul the items on question, stripping the paint and varnish - changing them beyond all recognition - to your specifications of course. This is a far cheaper option than a complete replacement and you will probably end up with something unique and unable to purchase in your local Kitchens'R'Us store. You may even have the bug now and wish to renovate the whole house - who knows?
